Ignorance

Shallow sounds of flowing water

In the caves of thriving civilizations.

Golds and diamonds in the glowing altar

Within the temples of contradictions.

Lullabies of grandmothers who inhale pain

Heard with songs of innocent voices.

Readings from the scriptures so plain,

Advocate the ignorance by choices.

Lightning with thunder still prevails

In the guise of a roaring cub.

Deliverance and the call for peace fails

While the land becomes a play hub.

Mother of birth and adoption, hears

Children crying impatiently with tears.
